The One

A new tent-ish-thing from everyone’s favorite uber-light gear manufacturer, Gossamer Gear, is about to give all the other tarp and tarptent makers out there a run for their money. Appropriately named “The One” this new shelter will weight in at only 16 oz — this includes an real vestibule, bathtub floor, zippered mesh door, rear peak vent, netted sidewalls, and the list goes on. Word is, it will be available March 1.

I know I am excited about it. Unlike Ryan, I am usually a full tent camper but this has me pondering my situation.
There is also one more tarptent product that needs to be mentioned; for the do-it-yourselfers there is the Ray-Way Tarp Kit by Ray Jardine.
