  2. There is something I left out about building a fire when we were originally taping the episode. That is, you should only build fires where you are permitted to do so.

    For instance, in Arkansas we often are faced with burn bans in the Fall because of drought conditions in the late summer, and in Washington you cannot make fires above 3000 feet, period.

    So go out and make your fire and enjoy the ambiance, comfort, and convenience it brings you; but remember to only use dead materials, follow LNT ethics, make sure it is absolutely out before you leave, and only build where you are permitted to do so.
